NJ Food Processors Event will focus on Economic Outlook of Food Industry

Bridgeton, NJ: The New Jersey Food Processors Association (NJFPA) will hold its next quarterly Networking Dinner on Thursday, April 15, at the Mt. Laurel Marriott. The event, sponsored by Curtis Financial Group of Philadelphia, begins at 6:00 p.m. with cash bar and networking; the dinner and educational program will begin at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $45.

The guest speaker at the event will be Kevin Rudd, president of Curtis Financial Group, whose presentation is titled Creating Value for Your Company in a Down Market. Rudd will discuss the economic outlook for the food and beverage industry for 2010 and beyond. This presentation will explore key trends in the industry and how these trends affect near and long-term value creation, growth opportunities, access to capital and corporate strategic planning.

Our members and guests will not want to miss this critically important perspective as we navigate these uncertain times, said Lou Cooperhouse, president of the NJFPA. Our quarterly Networking Dinners are designed to inform people in the industry about issues that are of specific value and concern to their businesses. In addition, our members really benefit from the networking opportunities, and find this to be an invaluable way to make new contacts.

Rudd has more than 20 years of experience providing strategic financial consulting services to hundreds of middle market and emerging growth companies. He focuses on providing financial-based analyses and advisory services as they relate to selling and buying businesses, joint ventures, business valuations and raising private capital. Curtis Financial Group is supporting the Networking Dinner as a Silver Sponsor through the NJFPA's new sponsorship program, which the association inaugurated in February.

Information on registration for the Networking Dinner can be found on the home page of the NJFPA website at http://www.njfoodprocessors.org/. The Mount Laurel Marriott is located just off NJ Turnpike Exit #4, at 915 Route 73, Mt. Laurel, NJ 08054. A map and directions are available at http://bit.ly/MiSl0. Registration for this event is requested by April 5.

There are additional opportunities for exclusive sponsorship of Networking Dinners in June, September and November 2010. In addition to Networking Dinner sponsorships, associate members, vendors, suppliers and others interested in NJFPA can sponsor the NJFPA Annual Conference to be held on January 2011 or the association's annual Golf Outing to be held on June 10, 2010. To learn more about NJFPA sponsorship opportunities, please contact Francis Reilly, executive director of NJFPA, at 856-696-4130 or freilly@comcast.net, or Lou Cooperhouse, president of NJFPA, at 732-537-1901 or Cooperhouse@njaes.rutgers.edu.

The NJFPA is an organization of manufacturers of food and agricultural products and of suppliers of materials and services to this industry, joined together to promote best practices, share information and expand the industry in the Garden State.
