May NJFPA On The Road Recap

May NJFPA On The Road Recap

With the continuing focus on competing for a limited workforce, Ed Doherty of One Degree Coaching led a discussion on "How to Be An Employer of Choice". The NJFPA community did not disappoint in creating an insightful discussion.

Attendees from different generations and backgrounds challenged stereotypes and talked about their experiences. Are younger workers ‘cynical’ or realistic given the current workplace landscape? How can we create leaders out of managers? Many employees would actually rather have more time and other benefits than money.

More than one person who was “just going to stay for a little while” found the conversation and community worth staying longer. Bowling teams were breakout rooms letting members get to know each other better than just an exchange of business cards. And of course, Hoffman came with his own bowling shirts.
