2023 NJFPA Stewardship Award AND Breakout Session Presenter
NJFPA and the New Jersey Manufacturing Extension Program are proud to announce that Premio Foods, Inc. has been selected as the recipient of this year's NJFPA Stewardship Award. Recipients are New Jersey food and beverage processors recognized for their investment in New Jersey, our industry, and the greater community.

AND lead a breakout session on their workforce success story with Premio HR. Here are just a few of the stories that stood out:
- Consistent leadership in the Manufacturing Cares Initiative that provides both food and financial support to more than 1,000 community partners, including local food pantries and soup kitchens.

Premio is the lead sponsor of the "Check Out Hunger" program every year since 2017. A program that has raised millions of dollars where shoppers at major food retailers are asked to donate $1, $2 or $5 to NJ community food banks.
- 1st Manufacturing employer to bring COVID vaccinations onsite to employees. This was assisted by NJMEP and their connection with a local community center that came onsite and vaccinated over 400 employees.
- Dental services onsite – Part of their overall wellness initiative and understanding that in this industry, time is of the essence. By bringing these services onsite to Premio, both employees and the business benefit in less time lost.
Recipients of the NJFPA Stewardship Award are truly examples for others to follow. Previous recipients have included:
- Wakefern for sustainability, hunger-fighting, pandemic donations of food, and help moving supplies for pop-up hospitals.
- Rastelli for commitment to team culture in the workplace, community donations, and employee volunteer programs.
- Goya for workforce development through the Jersey City Summer Internship Program, scholarships, and commitment to environmental issues.
